Assistance League of Eugene is a volunteer, charitable organization.
Our Eugene chapter has dedicated itself to helping children and seniors
in the greater Eugene / Springfield area. Assistance League of Eugene
has served over 60,000 residents in this community since its inception.
Assistance
League of Eugene is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, nonpolitical and nonsectarian
corporation. The Eugene chapter was founded in 1973 and chartered in
1978. Assistance League of Eugene is a chapter of National Assistance
League®.
Our
175 volunteers have the opportunity to serve their community through
chapter membership. These dedicated volunteers develop, implement, and
fund ongoing projects giving over 19,000 hours annually. Over $2,200,000
worth of services have been returned to the community.
Gently
Used Thrift Shop located on Willamette Street, supports
our philanthropic projects by selling donated merchandise. Gently
Used is the primary source of revenue for our chapters’ projects
with ‘The New Car Expo’ as an additional
source of funding.
Operation
School Bell provides clothing for students K through
12th grades from low-income families in Eugene and some nearby
area schools.

Children’s Dental Center provides dental care
to Lane County area children from low-income families with verified
financial need.
Oregon
Heritage gives presentations on Pioneer Life at
the Lane County Historical Museum to area children.
Operation
Hug A Bear provides teddy bears to the Eugene Police
Department and other agencies for those in stressful situations.
Caring
and Sharing offers friendship to residents in long-term
care facilities.

Welcome Basket in partnership with St. Vincent de
Paul provides cleaning and hygiene supplies to families in transitional
housing.
